Another Night In

Friday, April 28th, 2006

Our apologies to anyone who went to the Parsons Collar at Whiteley tonight. We did and found that a disco and music quiz had taken our place. The landlord claimed he knew nothing about the gig and there’s not a lot we can do. So once again, we’re very sorry if you went; hope you enjoyed the disco and come to see us tomorrow night at the Railway in Gosport. We’re definitely playing there !!

Saturday night cancelled

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

We were told today that the pub we are due to play in on Saturday night, 22nd, has closed. We checked it out and yes it is shut and has been for about 3 weeks by the look of it!! Sadly then we have to announce that we won’t be playing and have removed the gig from the date sheet. The things some people do to avoid having us in their pub eh!!!

Bank Holiday Monday

Monday, April 17th, 2006

Just a very quick line to review the weekends gigs. Saturday night in Chichester was a classic KT performance. Hot, sweaty, drunken with plenty of leaping about and singing. The large pub mirror on the wall stage right was destroyed by an over active dancer but we still got paid!! New drummer Dominic Kelly played like he’d been with us all his life; just need to bring his drinking up to speed!!

Sunday night at the Admiral Drake in Portsmouth was a typical Sunday night gig at the Ad. I’m off to put some posters up at the Railway, Gosport. See you there on the 29th.

Breaking news; Good Friday 2006

Friday, April 14th, 2006

Its that time again when Kellys Tattoo start to look for a new drummer. The present incumbent, Rob Kelly has decided he wants to spend more time with his “riff based” rock outfit “titsling” so once again the drumstool is vacant. In 4 years we are looking for drummer no.5. If anyone is interested please contact us, details below.

Other than that everything is ticking over as usual. We play tomorrow night at the Fountain in Chi with a stand in drummer, Dominic and Rob returns for the Admiral Drake gig on Easter Sunday. Lenny Kelly who has deputised for Rob in the past then takes over until something more permanent occurs! Stacey is still morris dancing in Oz and Phil and Steve are not taking part in the Gosport easter folk fest for the first time in 11 years.

Indeed the times they truly are a changin’ !!!
